Alexandra Pare graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2000 with a degree in Fashion Merchandise Management. She began her career at W Magazine as an assistant to the Advertising Director and Associate Publisher, where she gained valuable insights into fashion trends and high-level budget management.
As her career transitioned toward marketing, Alexandra became engaged and started planning her own wedding in Key West. While her wedding was a wonderful experience, it was also filled with unexpected challenges. This inspired her to become an advocate for engaged couples, helping them navigate the complexities of wedding planning.
In 2006, Alexandra founded Cherry Blossom Events where she and her team have been designing and executing memorable events ever since. Her work has earned her recognition as one of Washingtonian’s Best Wedding Vendors for 12 consecutive years. Additionally, her dedication to her team and excellence is reflected in over 155 five-star reviews on Wedding Wire.
With hundreds of events planned across the Washington, DC area, Alexandra and her team have accumulated a wealth of stories and lessons, which they are passionate about sharing with their clients.
A graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, Alison began her career in events at a catering company on the Eastern Shore. She quickly advanced to become the Wedding Specialist at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, one of Washington, DC’s premier wedding venues.
As Cherry Blossom Events’ Luxury Wedding Designer, Alison has been an integral part of the team for eight years. She is consistently praised by clients for her exceptional service and innovative event designs. Her dedication to her clients is unmatched, and she takes pride in educating them on every aspect of their wedding journey. Alison’s favorite part of the process is collaborating on the design to create a stunning, personalized experience for each couple.
In addition to her creative talents, Alison is known for her resourcefulness and ability to adapt under pressure. At one memorable wedding, she crafted a bridesmaid dress from a pink table linen when the original dress was accidentally left behind. And was covered by the Washingtonian. Alison’s commitment to going above and beyond ensures her clients always feel cared for, no matter the challenge.
